The last supper

Last night's dinner (Friday 22/12) at Moonfish was fabulous.

The RED & GREEN Moonies @ Moonfish.

There were 11 of us, including the newly-Christened Sean (aka FullMoon) and Martini Hartini, the new friend-in-law.
Erm, Lauren and I appeared twice here.
S
ha's absence was, of course, greatly felt.

But we cam-whored some more cause we were waiting for the (extremely late) latecomers and for the appetisers. Had clam chowder, garlic bread, seafood platter and escargots (French: snails).

Escargots.

Then the main stuff came. I had lamb skank shank, some had cod, mussel vongole, some chicken stuff, crayfish pasta...etc.

The food was nice and the ambience was great. We will definitely go there again. Plus, the location is pretty central - Marina Square. Anyway, after the meal, the organiser (Lauren) started a mini presentation.

Presenting...the Moonies - Pop! Awards 2006!

Lauren, Grace and I came up with this idea a few weeks ago of having an election night cum awards ceremony. We came up with various categories like Hero Of The Year, Villain Of The Year, Makeover Of The Year, Highlight Of The Year, Dud Of The Year, Birthday Of The Year, Costume Of The Year, Karaoke Performance Of The Year, Bimbo Of The Year, Nag Of The Year, Bitch Of The Year, Biggest Sacrifice Of The Year. In some categories, we all had to vote our favourite nominees and hah, the committee (we three) didnt win anything.

Of course, there were to be some discontentment. But ah...tough luck. Congrats (or not) to the winners.

After that we, including Andrew who just arrived, all adjourned (in 4 cars) to Corduroy & Finch, this cosy restaurant at 6th Avenue (Bukit Timah), for some desserts. Sha too managed to join us and we showed her the presentation, while she added her own incessant comments.

Lauren and I shared CHOCOLATE TEMPTATION...which further aggravated our throats. But oh it was the ultimate. And these babies did trigger a pseudo-lesbianic moment.

[Erm, the first picture does have the soft porn effect, though. Shite.]

Hello...nurse!

And here's Sha. Oh she has bagged the unofficial award of The Most Hardworking Moonie Of The Year. And also Comfort Taxi's Friend Of The Year and MacDonald's Customer Of The Year.

The rest had hot choc, penna cotta, salad. sandwiches, coffee, beer, lychee martini and other what-have-yous. We did take a group photo (the whole complete entities) but am not sure who has it now.

Wait! Wait!

Here they are!
The complete Moonie population...complete with current spouses.

Maybe we'll see more inclusions next year?
Go, singles?
All ..ahem..5 of us?

Haha.
We'll see, who knows.

We all split for home slighly past midnight. Sha, Lauren, Ting and I soon made our way to Toa Payoh, to continue our merriment at Grace's place.

...but not before changing into some nightgowns, thanks to Grace's ... erm ... grace.

Red wine...
Lychee martini...
Dessert wine...
Girls in nightgowns...
John Tucker Must Die...

We intended to wake up early for Mac's breakkie. Hah, yeah right! After falling asleep close to 0500hrs, we woke up at...1300hrs! Lingered in bed, ordered Macs, watched Grey's Anatomy and finally, we parted. Time check: 1645hrs.

Where did the day go?

Anyway Moonies, hope you guys had fun. Mail, we love your Tini. Maybe hahaha more than we love you now. Heh. But yeah...dont worry lah. She's great. Have a good holiday guys, whether you'll be in Singapore, Bangalore, Melbourne, KL or in Taiwan. And yeah, may 2007 be a blast.

P/S: I have gone record broke for the year 2006. Yip..pee.
