You haven't seen the last of me

Been back from Bali for 2 days and I...

1) am having a horrible sunburn itch all over my limbs

2) stubbed a big toe and have difficulty wearing covered shoes

3) am as broke as a church mouse on a welfare/foodstamp system.



But otherwise, I'm quite happy/excited/relieved because...

1) pay is coming in soon

2) my birthday celebration is still going on strong (I love you, people!)

3) 1-week CNY holiday starts in 5 days' time

4) the 3d2n Manila trip is next week

5) the big boss is giving us ang pows today ($20 but still..who'll give you?)

6) I managed to catch Carmen the Opera on the last night of its run here in Singapore

7) I have finally seen Bali.


So yes, January has been a fairly exciting one for me and I feel good turning 31. It's going to be a great decade.

Okay, off to class.

My flight to Bali is at !620hrs. Going there with the parents and the sister. We'll be staying here.



We're going to be at Seminyak and since it's our first time in Bali, here goes nothing.

And I have turned a year older. Wiser? Maybe.

On this day, I just wish to live the rest of my life with much faith,passion and fashion.

A bit more moolah will be nice too so that I can buy my first pair of Manolos... which I have been coveting since I was 17. But it's okay. It's just a small wish, right? I've been waiting for 133 years. I can wait 5 more. I think.

So...to mark my last day of being 30 20, I rushed to town after work to join in the festive shopping period. Grabbed a pair of heels and then went back home. This old tired soul needed to rest.

I want your sex

I.AM.STILL.ALIVE.

Been busy these past few days. Working and also, very much socialising. It's my birthday month and I am turning 31. Since there are 31 days in this birthday month, I'm making a point to celebrate each day and try to give myself a treat/present everyday. Before you go on and say "My, what a spendthrift!" ..well, little things count. Like speakers, thumbdrive, lights for my laptops, new alarm clock..etc etc.

So, yeah. Turning 31 in 3 days' time.
Oh joy...

Anyway recently this happened. I entered the office and out of nowhere, this colleague said, "Ed, you smell like sex!" I know he's referring to my standard perfume and he's that usual loutish vulgar dude but still...what's the line between a joke and a sexual harrassment?

Okay.
Say it one more time and I'll spray "sex" into his nose.

Okay...now that sounded wrong.

Just a dream

....and how is the new year coming along?

Judging by the whirlwind of work in the office,I think it's going to be a bit of a feisty year.


But...nothing like a good retail therapy cannot solve.

Anyway, on New Year's Eve, I met Gladys for a while at Asian Civilisations Museum because we wanted to show support for Hazel, who was performing with her Jitterbug clan.




Bloody flexible, Hazel. But ah...the ones who stole the show were the little munchkins in the last shot. Ah, where's my unborn daughter?

After that I made my way back to the hotel...ripping my pants along the way.
