After having an early night on Friday (tired from work and movie) and spending the whole Saturday morning and noon in bed, I finally made my way to Dhoby Ghaut at around 1730hrs.

Off to Fort Canning to catch
Ballet Under the Stars.
I went to Carrefour to grab some grilled fish fillet before meeting Herlina, Ruth and Sha at Park Mall. We then headed uphill around 1845hrs. When we got there, the place was already damn crowded and the first opening acts had already started. So fast...the show was stated to start at 1930hrs.

Ed, Ruth, Sha and Herlina
We couldnt find a place near to the stage and the only available slot was way up at the back below the trees! With lots of bugs!
Anyway, we spread our mats (the material you sit on, not the malay homo sapiens)and rolled out the food. I had coke zero (disgusting, but it was the only thing I had at home), grilled dory from Carrefour, biscuit sticks with cheese dip and grapes while the rest brought potato chips, old chang kees and packet drinks. Ruth brought durian cakes and well, yes, I love durians but I think it was quite absurb to bring something which smells so strong to a crowded place.
Damn, I'm turning into a freaking snob, aint I?
Rhetorical question, people. Rhetorical.

So after a bit of camera whoring under the tree, in the hot sun...it was time for the show to start. I thought it was fantastic and I would have enjoyed it more if I were nearer and not distracted by irresponsible parents who let their kids ran buck wild and made incessant noise. No...it's not just Singaporean parents. Caucasians equally guilty.
And dont get me started on those who prefer to walk around and disturb people's focus on the performances. I understand your need to walk around, buy food, go toilet, go smoke and whatever but for God's sake....sit and watch when the performances had started. Wasn't that why you came in the first place? Un-fucking-believable. Call me a snob or whatever, but please, have some manners.

The ballet performances ended around 2130hrs and then we made our way to the office where RiffRaff was still working. Headed to McDonalds @ Raffles City after that before making my way home close to midnight.
And today...I spent the whole day with the family.
That's always a bittersweet affair.
Tired, now.
P/S: My favourite part of the dances wasnt the contemporary stuff. I truly enjoyed the classical piece Raymondo.###
