i wanna hold your hand

Yes, we're all tired. So fucking tired. Am developing a headache just thinking how tired I am and how more tired I'm going to be.

24 hours after the operation, the father has moved out of ICU to the High Dependency ward. Saw him at around 1915hrs, all hooked to the machine and in great pain. When he wanted to cough or sit up, I had to turn around or hid behind someone, didnt have the heart (haha, pun intended) to see him having difficulty doing something so common.

What if he coughs too hard, the stitches come loose?!

It's 0136hrs and I've yet to prepare tomorrow's Pop Culture class. Got home at about 2030hrs and caught American Idol on cable. Funny shit always hahahahaha. Decided to hit the showers at about 2245hrs but somehow, I ended on my bedroom floor, slumped against the wardrobe. I sat there for almost an hour ... just listening to some music, get stoned.

As I was stoning, I imagined meself on a hammock, on an island far far away. Bora Bora, maybe. I was swaying side to side to the tune of the gentle breeze. Really, not giving a damn about anything for once.

Definitely not thinking about work and beats going to the hospital everyday.

This is Bora Bora by the way. Hahaha, the list of places to go just keep on increasing!

Now...how do I get there and who wants to go with me?

Work...

Dear Prudence

Tragedy is like a sick addiction. You miss the drama but it rips your heart and ages you each time. You think with each passing trauma you'll get better, get stronger. Truth is, it's always a new kind of hurt, a new kind of wound. The old ones dont seem to heal at all. They are just ... forgotten.

When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry

You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so fucking special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doin' here?
I don't belong here

I don't care if it hurts
I wanna have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul

I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so fucking special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doin' here?
I don't belong here

She's running out the door
She's running out
She run run run run...
Run...

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so fucking special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doin' here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here - Creep, Radiohead

Things are fine over in my camp. The father has regained his consciousness and his condition, stabilised. Being the mule that he is, upon being conscious, he struggled with the tubings and the machines. Unable to speak because of the tube down his throat, he motioned and struggled to be broken free. Quite a funny sight, save for the fact that we were in the ICU with many unconscious people surrounding us.

To Clara, Weiling and Noreen, thanks for making the trip down. Though I tried (in my own twisted ways) to stop you guys from coming, I am glad you guys totally ignored my hint and came anyway. That was comforting. Liah, I know you cant make it but it's all right. It really is.

Yay.

Again, as fate would have it, Noreen left SGH and headed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Her back problems were acting up and as I am blogging right now, she is on a hospital bed in TTSH, warded. Get well, babe. Speedy recovery.

Okay that all aside, the reason for my 3-am-melancholia is because of ...yes it's back...Grey's Anatomy Ep 11. After not being available for weeks (or is it months), the show is finally back online and my, Ep 11 sure is back with a vengeance, sans the blood this time. It's very heartbreaking, this episode. Why cant we all just get along?

Why cant we all just get along?

It's funny that lovers sabotage their relationships and want to get out.
Dont they know there are many trying to get in?

Fifi: Do you know that Benson is attached?
Ed: Is it? Yay good for him!
Fifi: You are becoming an "endangered species".

Oh no.
I am endangered.
Conservation, anybody?

Think I should hit the sack.

A thousand times goodnight, gunny sackers.

P/S: Thanks for the well-wishes and prayers. Much appreciated, mucho gracias.

I am the walrus

So the father was warded. Went to hospital and then back. Felt the urge to "let loose" (what a lame term) so I shut the door (thank god for locks), plugged up the MP3 and blasted My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Muse, Placebo, Amy Winehouse (huh), Justin Timberlake (double huh?) and Oasis for some rockstar moments.

Minus the tight pants for I was in my towel.

Screamed into my bottle of deodorant (mic!), picked on my air guitar, jumped from the bed with imaginary pyrotechnics flaming behind me, riotous crowd lapping it up. I am the eggman, you are the eggman, I am the walrus..kookookechoo kookookechoo. Rock legends would have been so proud of me hahaha. Right, Jimi?

Err...Hendrix?

Was at it for an hour, ending with loud-as-hell Santana/Rob Thomas doing Smooth. After being so tired, I finally took a shower at midnight.

The brother did the laundry and I folded the clothes.
By the time I get to Snow White, I was semi dead.
Didnt want to sleep on the floor so I retired without finishing work.

....

Last Sunday saw me movie bingeing with Lauren and after Across The Universe at 1315hrs, we caught another one about 5 hours later.

Didnt plan to watch this but well, saw it I did, ELIZABETH: THE GOLDEN AGE.

Historically, this film (E:TGA) is a bunch of bullcrap. Some things are over emphasised and some things just dont happen. So, dont really count on it on being a true account. Androgynous and hideously ugly (thank god for talent) Cate Blanchet makes a mean queen but I thought everything else seems rather plain, kind of chick-flicky. Not much of a purpose and a wastage of characters. Kind of slightly disappointed actually. I have never seen the film before this (Elizabeth) but I like to think that it is better than E:TGA. Gah, to think I reprimanded meself earlier for being bored too early.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sir Walter Raleigh: We mortals have many weaknesses; we feel too much, hurt too much or too soon we die, but we do have the chance of love.

...

Sir Francis Walsingham: Phillip of Spain is a god-fearing man who cannot declare war without a just cause. I intercepted every letter Mary Stuart secretly dispatched, but failed to see Spain knew I was reading them. They waited for her to write the words that in my eyes would confirm her treason.
Forgive me. I am trapped in my own web.
Queen Elizabeth I: And I ordered Mary's execution. I murdered God's anointed Queen. And now God's most dutiful son makes Holy War to punish me.

...

Queen Elizabeth I: We shall have to look out a husband for you soon, Bess.
Elizabeth Throckmorton: Not too soon, my lady.
Sir Francis Walsingham: There are husbands to be had.
Queen Elizabeth I: [to Bess] Don't you want to be married?
Elizabeth Throckmorton: I'll want the marriage if I want the man.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

E:TGA boasts beautiful cinematography and I especially enjoyed the battle at sea with the Spanish armada. But to me, these are superficialities. Something is amiss. Maybe, heart. Or a stronger ..you know... message.

Shit.
Back to work.
Wait, after reading up about Elizabeth I first.

I've been down and
I'm wondering why
These little black clouds
Keep walking around
With me
With me

It wastes time
And I'd rather be high
Think I'll walk me outside
And buy a rainbow smile
But be free
They're all free

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home

I look around at a beautiful life
Been the upperside of down
Been the inside of out
But we breathe
We breathe

I wanna breeze and an open mind
I wanna swim in the ocean
Wanna take my time for me
All me

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home - Maybe Tomorrow, Stereophonics

Take it to the floor ...

Have no mood to entertain or whatsoever.
Just done with a long day ... complete with a totally depressing show during Film class ('Crash').

Right now, I shall go see the father at SGH, have lunch+dinner, go home, do work, sleep on my bed, etc. Didnt manage to get to the bed last night cause I fell asleep on the floor while preparing for my Pop Culture class this morning. Woke up with a jolt at 0645hrs, with books and papers all around me. Work wasnt finished and the laptop was still running. Bleary eyed, I continued ... totally feeling the pits. Havent even finished preparing for Film Class. Yes, life sure can suck like Jenna Jameson.

Jenna Jameson has announced her retirement by the way.

Anyway...yes, time to go off.

###

Sour Times

Oh yeah...

The father is going to be warded today. His bypass operation is tomorrow and I cant take leave because I have class.

Hope everything goes smoothly.

###

You'll Never Walk Around

I love The Beatles, see. And I love the counter-cultures of the 60s and the 70s. So it is natural that I am a hippie-revolutionary, psychedelic activist even though I may look like the most boring human being on Earth with my obsessive black clothing and moody eyeliners. Deep down, I am a bag of colours, stimulants and all the All-you-need-is-love-and-Mama Cass mix.

Therefore it is natural that I want to watch ACROSS THE UNIVERSE.

ACROSS THE NIGHT is all singing, all synchronised dancing, all sex, drugs and rock and roll. I like.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

JoJo: Music's the only thing that makes sense anymore, man. Play it loud enough, it keeps the demons at bay.

...

Army Sergeant: Is there any reason you shouldn't be in this man's Army?
Max: I'm a cross-dressing homosexual pacifist with a spot on my lung.
Army Sergeant: As long as you don't have flat feet.

...

Sadie: You got a good memory for faces?
Max: Yeah, I think so. Why?
Sadie: There's no mirror in your bathroom.

...

Jude: What are you going to do if you don't go back to college?
Max: What any irresponsible, unmotivated, drop-out would do. Go to New York, like tonight.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

One of the best shows I've seen lately and I thank God (and Lauren) that I managed to catch this in time.

Across The Universe has many subliminal messages --> the creation of Apple, the transcendantal meditation period of the 60s/70s, the rise of Jimi Hendrix, the superficialities of the flower-power revolution back then and of course, the need for rock and roll. They re-sing the works of Beatles and even though they are not as great as the originals, the efforts are praiseworthy.

Jim Sturgess is a dream. A perfect British lad dream. Very John Lennon, very Ewan McGregor, very Jonny Lee Miller, very Liam Gallagher...very ooooh! Oooh.

I want to go Liverpool.

Okay film class is starting.

Made in India

Din is sleeping naked tonight because he promised to strip if Man U scored the 3rd goal. Not that I can see ... and not that I want to anyway. Anyway, we went on to win 6-0. Here, represent!

Last Friday, Mail, Lauren and I watched American Gangster at Marina Square.

American Gangster was a 3-hr film and I slept half of the time. All I know is that the movie is damn long and that Russell Crowe looks like Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter.

But yeah...I get the story.
I have the pirated DVD to watch it again also.

Then came last night...

THE DARJEELING LIMITED is extraordinarily witty, painful and ironic. Like The Royal Tenenbaums, Wes Anderson has mastered the art of portraying a dysfunctional family which talks of nothing.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Jack: What did he say?
Peter: He said the train is lost.
Jack: How can a train be lost? It's on rails.

..

Patricia: God Bless You and keep you with Mary's benevolent guidence in the light of Christ's enduring grace. All my love, Your Mother, Sister Patricia Wittman.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The Darjeeling Limited doesnt have drunken-bar-brawl slapstick humour. However, its dialogues alone strike a chord to most of us who were watching. The film is not exactly rocket science but well, you cant take it at face value as well. So many hidden messages. So subliminal.

Recommend this show. Just because it is slightly stylishly underrated, simple and sarcastic at the same time.

All right.

Saturday has drawn close. Will tell you more about the Saturday escapade later. Tomorrow, I'm trying to catch Across The Universe and Elizabeth. In the mean time, sleep beckons.

A thousand times goodnight, spin doctors.

Rocket (Wo)Man

Nani kind of "pissed" that I suggested the birthday celebration to be done on the 19th (Saturday) instead of the 20th. Couple of weeks ago she asked if she should take leave but I told her no need so yeah...Kind of understand her pissiness. Oh well. Sean (and Susan) cant make it for Sunday lunch because they have their own family gathering.

Me? Well, I am not exactly very happy on Sunday evenings. Think I can say that for Lauren too. Guess it has to be high tea if we were to still continue to get on with it. Celebrating my birthday is starting to feel like a chore now. Hmmm...maybe should just skip this year's and next and we'll meet again in 2010. If I am not dead then, that is.

Stupidity aside.
I have "celebrations" lined up just in case I screw up the actual day haha - on the 18th, on the 19th (shall have it at the hospital, I guess), 25th, 26th. What? Me party like a rockstar?. Yeah, like real. I am just having one-on-one sessions with friends, I guess. More personalised, yes?

It's 1140hrs now and I just ended a "side-lined project meeting" ;) . I will have another "project" meeting at 1400hrs later at Arab Street with my writer. He says his books have sold so well, he has to come up with another, and he wants to rope me in again. Yay.

*Yawn*
When is this stupid working day be over?

Went to bed early (0230hrs) cause I've got a major headache/sleepiness. After I left work at past noon, I went to Yishun to the NPCC unit to settle some stuff. Only managed to leave that school at about 1800hrs. Went for eyebrow threading and dinner and by the time I got home, it was 2030hrs. Showered and ran out at 2100hrs to town.

Lauren and I caught The Darjeeling Limited last night and hahahahahahaha totally weird...uber bizarre. Sheer hilarity to me. Not sure about others but I dont give a shit 'bout them. We got out of the theatre in a surreal state of mind.

Lauren: What the hell did we just watch?
Ed: I have no idea. Funny ... but bizarre.
Lauren: 2 hours of what...nothing?
Ed: Hahaha! Just like Seinfeld!

We were still in a Darjeeling daze after leaving the building and my headache was threatening to hit boiling point. But no, we didnt go home even though we could still catch the last train. We wanted to have ice cream ... but we changed our minds and headed to Acid Bar at Emerald Hill instead. Grubs, drinks and good music ... my headache transformed to utter sleepiness. I even talked to Lauren with my eyes half closed. At 0200hrs, I found myself crawling into a cab. Take me home, dear taxi man.

Ed: Eh, damn sleepy. I cannot take it.
Lauren: You are reaching soon.
Ed: Dont think ..I..can..zz..make ..zz..it.
Lauren: DONT YOU DARE SLEEP NOW! We are entering Avenue 5 already!
Ed: Wahlao I cannot open my eyes now lah! Think I might fall asleep in the lift.
Lauren: Gross..you can roll back home.
Ed: Can you roll me?
Lauren: If you fall asleep in the lift, then it's obvious that I wont be there, right?
Ed: True.
Lauren: ...
Ed: Argghh..think I'll just crash the funeral below my house.
Lauren: Huh?
Ed: There's a funeral at the void deck. Maybe I can just sit in and sleep.
Lauren: Siao!
Ed: ...but feasible.

Got home. Realised Lexie Grey was at home and couldnt sleep. I caught her looking at me when I crept into the house. Talked to her for a while, got out of my stinky jacket and then I was dead. Of course I had trouble waking up this morning. Is there even a doubt? Again, take me to work, dear taxi man.

Days before being 28 are starting to be a blur.

Break Another

Am on a half-day break today and I shall leave the asylum at 1315hrs.
Why did I take half day?
Just because.

Manny is going to tender her resignation soon. This is sucky. I hope she gives this another thought. I do understand where she is coming from...but still, it's disheartening to lose another (wo)man, not when we all depend on one another to keep our sanity in check. Yes, the MassComm grrl power.

...which is slowly fading away.

So yeah, let me take this half day to regain a bit of my sanity. Need to psych myself for the impending 28th birthday (next week..o my freaking god) and eventually, old age and senility.

Of course, I have to be in the office again tomorrow. Have I mentioned that Saturday is a wasted day for work? Oh I have? Let me say it again: Working on Saturdays are sure fothermuckers. Grr.

Awrite. Shall head to Yishun to the NPCC unit. Need to collect my unwashed uniform which had been rotting in the NPCC room for 2 months. Wonder if I can still fit in them.

Talking about NPCC, I havent been back for almost 2 months. I really miss the kids and the uniform, the hot sun, the screaming, the interaction, the football/floorball/basketball game after training and then having lunch with minors. Yes, I have been donning the uniform for 15 years (!!!!) and I am still loving every minute of it. I hate my job now for taking me away from it. I mean, they dont even let me reschedule my working hours on Saturday. I propose a schedule of me coming in at 1300hrs and leaving at 1800hrs but Abby refused. I mean, I am throwing an hour more than the initial 9-1pm. But the bloody chee bye said "You can only do that if you have an afternoon class." Fucker.

Other people can re-arrange their time because they have part-time external school (PhD, Masters, etc) but I cannot because mine is just volunteer work. They are leaving me with no choice. I shall have to use my annual leave.

Some people indulge in alcohol, some people have sexual affairs, some take weed ... I want my outdoors fix. That's all I need. Dont make me work 6 days a week and deny me of my only pleasure. There's only so much pleasure (and money) shopping can give me.

And I dont even like shopping.

Is it 1300hrs yet???

Dylan in the movies

I like my Film Studies class because I get my revenge. All those painful times spent during my Film Class in ECU, sitting through undigestible movies, can now be inflicted back to my students.

Last week I showed them Un Chien Andalou, this totally bizarre silent French Surrealist film to them. On Monday, I screened Battleship Potemkin, a nationalistic and profound silent Russian fare. I thought today's treat was much pleasant, unlike the earlier black and whites. But I was wrong.

How would I know Woody Allen's Annie Hall was so bad for them?
Come on, it's witty, intellectual, colourful and there's freaking sound!

It turned out they dont get the jokes, the cinematography was boring and it was too Americanised (New York-ish). Guess the students totally deserved the silent treatment.

Think I should just show them Charlie Chaplin films right till graduation.

###

Joshua fits the battle of Jericho

It's a truly beautiful night as I love it when it pours. I am sitting here on my sofa, wishing I have someone to snuggle up too. But no, all I have is my trusty ol' laptop. Oh, and Moses.

Yes, it's 0130hrs on a wet Wednesday and I am watching The Ten Commandments - Let my people go! - Why should I restrict myself to one real man when I can have the whole of male Israelis (half naked at that) on television. Tell me, why should I?

*the denial of the single one*

Anyway, on New Year's Day, I met Yiling, Wanyi, Firman and Din at the Cathay to catch a show. Didnt want to watch this particular show but Fifi said I owed him one cause I made him and Din watch Half Nelson.

ALIEN vs PREDATOR:2 was all right. Not big on plots but then again, since when do alien shows worry itself with plots.

The show was kind of typical and that means, many Singaporeans would love it and it will be the #1 blockbuster here. Me, nah...it is enjoyable but it doesnt really rock my boat.

I did have moments where I felt all squemish and yelped "I wanna go home!" ... comical, really.

Fortunately, I didint fall asleep. After 30 minutes I guess, I was also sucked into the surreal realmness of the show.

Freaky.

Okay. Am feeling sleepy and Moses had reached the part where he "parted the sea". The coffee I had just now at Boat Quay with Clara didnt help. But then again...it's 0330hrs now.

A thousand time goodnight, believers and sinners.

P/S: I am going to Santana's concert! Thank you, thank you!

P/P/S: Alone, though.

Am going back to my editing roots.

I've nothing else to say and my head is itching.

Potential Break-up song

Good morning, sunshine. (Err I dont mean you, Ismail. I mean..sunshine. Real sunshine)
Never mind.
Let's start again.
Good morning, Vietnam...no.
Good morning, Baltimore...no.
Haiyah.
Good morning.

As you can see, I am going to have a bo liao (crappy rubbish) day.

The initial schedule was for me to work in the afternoon shift cause I have lessons in the afternoon and in the evening. However, last night after checking my emails, I realised the night class was cancelled and therefore there was no reason for me to come in the afternoon. Man...I hate squeezing on the train in the morning.

Anyway, I bought a Renoma bag (lunch time with Idaho) and a Warehouse sun dress (en route home with Idaho) last night. Cheap sale stuff...nothing to scream about. Even then, I think I need to leave all my debit (yes yes debit lah) cards at home.

And Idaho, I think we should stop seeing each there.

You're not good for me.

Vice versa.

Heh.

Counting the days

Wonder if anyone realises that this place hasnt been updated for 3 days.
3 flipping days.

It's revived (kind of) now, at 0350hrs on Monday morning.
Just because.

Finally, the trip to hell was over and done with. I was supposed to be done with the book on Friday. As I was editing and finalising stuff at 1700hrs, I did one of the most stupidest things I've ever done in my life. I deleted a chapter.

Not any chapter.
It was the chapter with the most text and info.
It was on Journalism and I thought it was a masterpiece.
I just had to delete it, hadnt I?

So yeah, I was panic-striken-shit, I tell you. Couldnt continue. My mind went blank. I decided to meet Clara and Lauren and Marina Square for dinner instead. I just went cold in the office. Being the drama queen that I was, I almost cried when the boss came up (after hearing me scream) and said "WHY?? HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN?"

Thanks.
How did that happen?

The boogeyman did it!

Anyway, had dinner and then Ismail joined us and we went for a movie - American Gangster. 3 bloody long hours (I slept 1/3 of the show ... guess the heart wasnt in it also) and by the time I got home, it was almost 0300hrs. Tried to do some work but failed. Next morning, I dragged myself to office. "I should be fucking happy by now," I thought. But no...I had to delete the chapter. I spent the entire morning glued to Snow White.

Colleague: You look awful.
Ed: Hmmph.
Colleague: [rattled something about life, weather...God knows]
Ed: Hmmph.
Colleague: (stared at me) You didnt hear what I say, did you?
Ed: Hmmph.
Colleague: Eh Ed, you're so gone, man! Get some sleep!
Ed: Need..to..finish. Dont disturb. Buzz off.

Yes, I havent been sleeping for more than 3 hours since New Year.

At 1100hrs, I finally did it. I finished the book, with the help of Idaho who kindly helped me with the printing. Went to Shortcake's IT room after that, waved the sheets of paper in the air and jumped a la Tom Cruise on Oprah, screaming "It's done!!!"

Tears of joy, baby. Tears of joy.

And ta-dah!

The book is finished!

It's not the only thing that's finished.
Money.

Stayed back at work till 1830hrs when work hours supposed to end at 1300hrs. I was still on a high so I cleared the clutter on my desk, re-arranged stuff and started photocopying notes for my coming classes. I was on a roll. I even tipped the drawers upside down to check if there were any la cucarachas (roaches, lah).

Finally the "adrenaline" died at and I made my way home. But Raffles City mall was saying:

"Come in.
Buy something.
You deserve it!"

So yeah...I went in.

Bought 2 skirts. Made my way to the exit. Then Dorothy Perkins said, "We've got new stock!" and so I went in and bought 2 pairs of pants with my 20% birthday voucher. Met Meiling for dinner at AMK Central, reached home at around 2200hrs, read the papers and fell asleep on the floor around 2230hrs ... all the way to 1200hrs Sunday.

Finally, sleep.

And just now, went to town for a while with Lauren and we came back with 2 pairs of (cheap) shoes each. Getting broke but hey, life is beautiful all over again. And yeah, it's my birthday month, god dammit. I need to get me presents :)

0430hrs.

Need to sleep now although the urge to update "backlog" (AvP2, American Gangster, Moonies' EoY party) entries is overwhelming. Tomorrow, I guess.

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun
Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs
And the sorrow
'Til there's none

When I'm stuck in a day
That's grey
And lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin
And say
Oh!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may

Tomorrow! Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!
You're always
A day a way! - Tomorrow, OST Annie

Film class tomorrow afternoon and I havent prepared.
Just wing it.

A thousand times goodnight, sweet children of Mother Earth.

P/S: I miss Grey's Anatomy. I'm stuck at Ep 11. What's happening now?

P/P/S: Think I'm having a little "infatuation". Tsk tsk. So childish. But oh well. Just a crush. He'll never know. I'll never tell.

P/P/S/S: Movies?

A Hard Day's Night

I wasnt in the mood for shopping for clothes/shoes/bags.
So I went Funan.

Was initially thinking of asking the Moonies to get me an external hard disk but well, since I was there at Funan I might as well...you know...buy. The plan was to get a laptop cooling fan and a cheap thumbdrive. Couldnt find a cheap thumbdrive (too cheap to pay) and fan so I walked out with a 160gig hard disk worth $80.

Was lingering around for a while. It was either the hard disk or the new fiery red Adidas sports watch. On second thought, I should just stick to $5 watches from Bugis Village considering I always spoil them at record speed.

Okay back to work.
Going on a home stretch.
I cant take staying back late at work everyday.

God speed!

###

You ought to know

Am in still no mood to blog about the Moonie End-of-Year PJs Party yet. Need to get pictures from the rest also. Maybe this weekend. If I can survive this week that is.

Apart from the party and meet-ups, the new year has been quite sucky.Work is driving me to the grave. My stupid boss is driving me up the wall and then down to my grave. I've never wanted to kill/choke/hadouken someone so bad, it brings tears to my eyes. Depressed is an understatement.

Idaho and I have been wallowing in pity and misery these past few days. Lunch and dinner times have been spent venting our frustrations and sharing our plans to kill. I've been coming home late and I dont see my family any more. I dont even have the energy to answer some calls and messages even.

Think when the father goes to the hospital, it's gonna be worse.
Maybe 2008 will be the year I go berserk.
I can feel it.

I am really beginning to hate the job. I condemn inefficient management. Sure sucks like hell. Stupid institution. Doesnt pay to be diligent, smart and vocal. Just sit there like a lemon before you eventually drop like a sad fuck like you are onto the ground.

Nabei.

Enough is enough.

Fuck off and rot in hell.

I would have shouted "Fuck you!" to the bosses' face but the dull pain in my head stops me.

I've had it.

That's enough.

May it all catch fire and broken into dust.
Burn motherfucker burn.

P/S: If not for the parents and the fact that I will do time, I would have stab the mgmt.

P/P/S: Chee bye..to every last motherfucker one of you.

Before I begin my tired New Year ramble, let me say my preface. If you are the villainous snatch-thief here, may you suffer a bad 2008 and the entire lifetime. I hex you.

Now let me ramble.

The remaining days of 2007 had been manic. Manic to finish work and manic to settle some old scores.29th saw me meeting the Big Sisters and then on 30th, it was the much awaited gatherings with the Ex-Yishun Convicts. But before that, I went down VivoCity with Liah. She wanted to get a present for her bf and she asked me along. I, too, needed to get a present. For Sha.

Before making our way back to AMK...

I had about slightly more than an hour to spare, so I walked to the AMK library to do a bit of light reading before making my way to Khatib to meet the Ex-Yishun Convicts.

Rush-Hour Redha, Loveless Laura and Falafel Fairuz

We went to Bilal along Sembawang Road. Service was bad, though. However, it was secondary. We hadnt met collectively as a group for so long now and there were so much news to catch up with, especially news from the old Alcatraz aka that school in Yishun. We were all also intrigued by Falafel's problematic relationship woes. At 2230hrs, we all bundled into Loveless Laura's car and sent Rush-Hour Redha home at Bukit Panjang.

Before we called it a day...

After Bukit Panjang, Loveless and Falafel also sent me home. We did chat at the carpark for a good 30 minutes before I reluctantly got off. Next time, soon.

31 Monday 2007 at Grace's place (Tanjong Rhu) deserved another entry on its own. It's 0335hrs and I need to sleep cause, yes, it's back-to-work day later at 0900hrs. I need to nurse my cold and headache.

And oh, the thrills and spills of the new year crossover.

"Well I was there on the day
They sold the cause for the queen,
And when the lights all went out
We watched our lives on the screen.
I hate the ending myself,
But it started with an alright scene.

It was the roar of the crowd
That gave me heartache to sing.
It was a lie when they smiled
And said, "you won't feel a thing"
And as we ran from the cops
We laughed so hard, it would sting

If I'm so wrong (so wrong, so wrong)
How can you listen all night long? (night long, night long)
Now will it matter after I'm gone?
Because you never learn a goddamned thing.

You're just a sad song with nothing to say
About a life long wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I'm wrong,
This never meant nothing to you" - Disenchated, MCR

Happy New Year good people. My resolution is [bah!] to get healthier. 2007 was rubbish in the health department. To those whose thoughtful messages went unanswered, my greatest apology. I have no other excuse except that I wasnt in the mood to do so :(

Shall drag my sorry ass and limbs to work.

A thousand times goodnight, mad cap revellers.

P/S: In my stoned stupor, I managed to meet up with Firman, Din, Wanyi and Yiling for Alien Vs Predater 2. Stupid aliens.
