Sabah Trip Day 1 - 9th December

1115hrs: Kranji MRT

Farhana was late! She came at around 12+ and we (Ismail, Nazmi, Farhana and I) soon got onto the bus to JB. We walked to City Square and had a Swensen’s (or Season’s) lunch. At around 1400hrs we took a cab to the Senai Airport. Our flight was at 1830hrs. Naturally, we were early. So we hung out at Dunkin Donuts before check in.

Check out Mail’s gay donut!

It was chocolate mint, by the way.

At about 1745hrs, we checked in. Wow…The interior of Senai Airport was much sophisticated than the exterior. And it has cable TVs!

Okay…we got a little too carried away and were trigger-happy.

At around 1815hrs, we finally boarded Air Asia. The journey to Sabah would take us 2 hours. Air Asia was quite spacious. But my gripe is that the seats are damn uncomfortable. Oh well…budget.

We FINALLY reached Kota Kinabalu Airport Terminal 2 (catering to mostly domestic flights) at around 8.15pm. Once you collected your luggage, you went out this sliding door and voila, you're out of the building! No one checked your bags..no one checked your passport. If you have people waiting for you, they will all be outside...by the roadside. The best thing, the departure gate looks like a toilet door.

Farhana and I managed to pose at slightly dodgy airport before getting into a cab to our hotel. The cab fare from the airport cost us RM17. We stopped in front of a dingy bulding named Ang's Hotel. Eh wait, that's our hotel!

The reservations were under Ismail's name. However, no transactions were made over the net even though Ismail had given his brother's card number. Apparently, they didnt have the proper facilities to do e-transactions. Anyway, each of us paid RM67 for the 2-night accommodation.

The hotel had this damn old and rickety lift. Didnt manage to get on it because our rooms were on the second floor. Besides the lift was so small, i think it could only fit all our bags. At one corner of the lobby were many life jackets. What the hell were they for? Flood?

Our rooms were just opposites. I shared mine with Farhana obviously! Duh! The room was fine. It had cable so nothing else mattered.

After checking in, we headed for dinner. Farhana didnt like to eat at coffeeshops (she said they were dirty) and so we headed to KFC. We walked around for a while before retiring back to our room at around 11ish. Lights out soon after but i was too excited to sleep. Tossed and turned...and finally, I was saved by my dodgy MP3 players and equally dodgy songs. Time check: 0230hrs.

1 day down.

Kungfu Hustle was hilarious...even though it wasnt my first time watching it. Stephen Chow has got to be my most favourite Chinese actor. I used to like Jet Li!

My favourite Chinese movies still have got to be Fong Sai Yuk 1. Must be Cantonese version, okay!

Ministry of TV & Sleep

I've got an invite to attend the Ministry of Sound party this evening at 9pm. 40-60, man. I want to go and check it out but i dont think i look "clubby" today. Besides, I want to go home and watch, off all things, Scrubs and Kungfu Hustle.

Ministry Of Sound tonight:

Pros:
- check out the club before most people
- it's free
- there's gonna be great music
- there'll be cute guys

Cons:
- it's a work night
- Kungfu Hustle
- Scrubs
- no money for transport back
- it's a work night
- cannot kiss cute guys
- it's a work night

Fine.

P/S: Obviously, still no news about the Sabah trip. I've just finished downloading the photos. So maybe, wait a day more yeah.

Sepet..Sepet...

Oh i finally bought Sepet's VCD in Sabah. I didnt buy many things for myself - fake Gucci shades and just Sepet VCD for me. It's original and after watching it last night, i realise why I prefer the pirated kind.

Even though it's original, the sound dubbing was EXTREMELY bad (damn echo-y) and the movie suffered the censorship's snip! Chee bye chee bye chee bye!

Even though i still cried after watching the movie for the second time, the SEPET-watching could still be better if the sound was much nicer and if the "Malays ARE lazy" part was not snipped.

I dont care...next time, i'll just buy the pirated copies of anything. NO fucking originals.

Asshole.
Original cost me RM20 and the quality is not half as good as the pirated one.

Work makes me nauseous

These were taken last Thursday. Daphne, Dear and I were gobbling Agnes Sim’s cake…the retro super creamy kind.

Anyway, I’ve still got no mood to write about the Sabah trip. It’s also because I brought the wrong cable to work so cannot download the pictures taken using the brother’s camera. Maybe tomorrow you get to read every blow by blow account, if you’re interested.

Right now, I am trying to psyche myself for work. Half day gone and I still have not accomplished much. Getting pissed is very destructive. But seriously, look at my table…it’s depressed with work.

Maybe later I’ll post some pictures taken with the company’s camera…

Maybe
Maybe
Maybe.

###

Pissed off by the minute...

Stupid stupid stupid stupid Tamil books!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i've planned my work flow for the day but this chee bye package is disrupting my plan.

I feel like ripping my pc off and just slam it against the wall.

I am super pissed off. My YG articles are mounting and man...i am so pissed.

I'm back with a vengeance...and a bruised forehead.

After a whole day drifting in and out of a coma, i am back at work. Was pleasantly surprised by when i came in, i had a present from Capital Land...a diary, a Yoda key chain from Kelen (i LOVE Yoda) and another Christmas gift from Kelen - Prescriptives' Lippity Split lip gloss. I gave my very first smile of the day, man!

Actual, it was my second. My first smile went to the cab driver. Yeah...I was TOO STONED to bus my way work to Ubi. Besides, it was raining.

But I guess, i'll smile no more. Maran just kind of pissed me off with his Tamil books. Asking me to mark out the pictures in his copy manuscripts. If he had done the same during the briefing (instead of chatting and day dreaming), i wouldnt have gotten this chee bye task.

How was your holiday?

My holiday was great. Will tell you more as the day progresses. But the most vivid stuff that i can remember out of Sabah were the part that i became dirt poor (extremely shitty kind of broke) and the part where i got hit in the forehead after falling off a swing at Pulau Tiga. I blacked out for a split second and I am still nursing a bruised forehead.

Kick Off..fuck off

Okay the game show now requires me not only know my EPL, but World Cup and Champions League, too!!!!!

I am totally freaking out because EPL's this season alone is driving me nuts, let alone the past seasons...which i havent gotten to that yet and i have to know that within 1 month.

Imagine not only you have to digest Moyes, Curbishley Glazers, Pongolle, Essien and how much they are worth, the numbers of goals they score...you have to digest Pele, Maradona, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce, Ibrahimovic, ....TOLONG TOLONG TOLONG!

And telling the world that i support Manchester United and yet i dont have a current favourite player is kind of hilarious, dont you think?

i think this is retribution for laughing at Zaffis.

Dammit..son of a mother.

The MOE people just confirmed the meeting tomorrow. It's gonna be in the morning..$%^%&%^!!!%$&%^!

And tomorrow, I am bringing Kock Ham (my illustrator) along with me. That means, i cannot take bus back to work...that means, i have to fork out money for cab ride.

Why cant KH pay?.
i dont know...it's always "understood" that editors pay the fare...because most of them are better paid.
They always forget that there's the church mouse me around with barely enough money to cover transport.

Anyway

yeah..i am tired. I am sleepy. I am broke. gonna go off now.

Who knows how long?

Back to you

It always comes around

Back to you

I tried to forget you

I tried to stay away

But it's too late

Over you

I'm never over

Over you

Something about you

It's just the way you move

The way you move me

Yeah

I'm so good at forgetting

And I quit every game I play

But forgive me, love

I can't turn and walk away

This way

Back to you

It always comes around

Back to you I walk with your shadow

I'm sleeping in my bed

With your silhouette

Yeah

Should have smiled in that picture

If it's the last that I'll see of you

It's the least that you

Could not do

Leave the light on

I'll never give up on you

Leave the light on

For me too

Back to me

I know that it comes

Back to me

Doesn't it scare you

Your will is not as strong

As it used to be - Back To You, John Mayer

I cant seem to figure out my MMS thingy. Cant seem to email my pictures.

Damn you, technology!

Words do fail me sometimes...

It’s lunchtime now and I am eating my packed food (rice+ vege, otak-otak and tempe = $2) and reading soccernet shit..and trying to familiarise myself with the various players and their names and their positions. Arjen Robben is younger than me?? Then why the hell does he look like my father? And oh, Carvalho looks like a clown.

As you can tell, I am still stuck at Team Chelski. One team at a time…one team at a time.

I’m gonna be so dead.
Ok…let’s read ELLE magazine.

Went looking for more toiletries yesterday after work and came home after parting with a whopping $60! Thank God I have changed some cash to Ringgits. But then again, I don’t need to buy toiletries for January. So..yay?

Showering, the greatest, yet most underrated, indulgence.

Wow.

I cant believe this.

I aint got nothing left to say!

All things random

Random photo time!

Gluttons (Dear and Betsy) @ Geylang Serai during the fasting month.

This woman USED to have a crush on me. Muahahah. Now she likes Dear.

The office was attacked with a deadly gas (actually it's glue and paint) so IT and I decided to put on the terrorist fashion wear.

Home.

Fall on your knees, hear the angels' voices

LADY MADONNA

You are Lady Madonna! This single was a celebration of motherhood. Whether you're a parent or not, you probably are an average, mature person, just trying to make your way through this world. You have your modest pleasures, but for the most part you're occupied with responsibilities, doing the right thing, and taking care of people close to you. "Lady Madonna, children at your feet. Wonder how you manage to make ends meet. Who finds the money, when you pay the rent? Did you think that money was heaven sent?" - 'Lady Madonna'

The Beatles Song Character Test

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

i was god damn tired yesterday..took #74 back from MOE and slept all the way home. Dragged myself to AMK Central after that to do some toiletries shopping for the sabah trip. Got my mini everything – shampoo, conditioner, facial cleanser, body wash.

Thank God I got home early. It was the final episode of Portraits Of A Home. Bad ending. Too cliché, it’s revolting!

I took a half day’s leave today because I wanted to sleep. I woke up at 1230hrs to the mother’s screaming (asking me to get up) and well, thank God she did. I would have to take the whole day’s leave otherwise.

Why am I so tired?
I think I didn’t get much sleep/rest over the weekend. I also suspect that my 25 years of sleep deprivation decide to get together for a quarter-century gathering and attack me. I am THAT sleepy. I shudder at the thought that I might just snore my way through Sabah.

Anyway…

The Bride has called off the wedding. Again..yeah I know. But I think it’s for the good this time because she’s heading down to ROM to cancel it. Happy for her? You bet I am! He is treating her unfairly and hey, she is not his ATM machine.

We are so going to have a NO-WEDDING PARTY on the 17th December at Club Momo. And then on Xmas, we are going to do it again with I-DIDN’T-GET-MARRIED-TODAY Party. What exciting and unpredictable lives we’re leading!

Oh!

I didn’t mention this earlier. It seems that Ting and I are in the EPL contest definitely. Shit, man. I am having a nervous attack already. Seriously. I tried to read as much EPL shit I could find on our daily football paper (The New Paper, lah) but I’d get sleepy whenever I tried to read. Damn. How like that? How? I am so dead.

Deadmeat.

I cant remember anything about EPL unless it’s the obvious. I don’t know who is who (unless it’s the obvious) and I don’t know who is what (unless it’s the obvious). I cant even differentiate Agu Casmir and Djibril Cisse!

Actually I can. Just look at the jerseys.

Oh well.

Ah Kiong left me some messages over MSN just now. He and Liting are doing fine in Arizona, by the way. He also asked me how the rest were doing. I couldn’t give him an answer. I have no idea how the rest are doing. And you know what…I am beginning to get a little depressed…

Dancing bears painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December

Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory

Far away long ago
Glowing dim as an ember
Things my heart used to know
Once upon a December
- Once Upon A December, Deanna Carter (OST Anastasia)

Hauntingly melodious.

Mentioning that, I haven’t heard much Christmas carols right now. Carols, not Christmas pop songs. I love carols… especially those given the Gregorian twist. For a Muslim, I am sure a strange one…but I love carols for its poetic beauty. Anyway, I am dying to hear God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, O Come All Ye Faithful and Angels We Have Heard On High. If anyone’s going carolling, or know of where nice carols are performed, please tell me. I want to go.

“In all our trials born to be our friend
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name” - O Holy Night

(Ed’s note: For your info, I love nasyid, too.)

Sucking Up Barbie

Walao..so ugly. Even the father’s phone looks cooler.

Okay…I think I will get meself a cooler handphone as a personal birthday gift next January. Man…since when did I become such a mobile maniac? Hah…I blame Lauren for instilling ideas in my head. I am so weak.

Friday saw Lauren and I gym-ing for a while. We both had stitches *ahem*excuses*ahem. After that we went to NYDC. As we were strolling along the town’s sidewalk, a sudden gust of strong wind swooped…causing mini pandemonium. Things were flying everywhere and I narrowly missed being hit by a falling branch. It was so freaking windy, it got super cool! Then it started to rain…wow…it was truly a superb night. Unfortunately, we didn’t have anywhere to go, so we headed home.

which was a good thing since we both are now poor church mice.

I’m not a Ruffles…Ed’s just an ordinary Calbee. No, make it Jack’n’Jill.

I cant remember what time I woke up on Saturday. I think it was around 11ish…Was reclining on my favourite spot and watched awesome cable shows..like Globetrekker and haha, MTV Weekend Break. Was entertaining some friends over SMS also…it was a cute picture of total sloth, I tell you.

Dear asked me to join her, Dawn and friends at Momo later that night. I thought that was cool…jiggy-ing the night away after rotting the living daylight of my Saturday afternoon. But before that, I had my fondue gathering.

Met Ting and Grace at Suntec. They were helping a friend with her business so Lauren and I decided to hop down to give purchasing support. Alas, nothing was enchanting enough to part us with our money. Sha came soon after and we headed to Marina’s Long John Silver for a quick dinner before heading to the Esplanade’s Max Brenner for some good old loving.

But it was quite a disappointment to me. However, I’ll take Sha’s words. Saturday’s crap was an unusual exception. Never mind. Even if it’s c’est magnifique, I would much prefer Haagen Dazs’ fondue. Why? Because the latter has ice cream.

Random photo time:

Taken at Spotlight last Thursday. That is me at the background and the bandana-ed one is CY. She’s crying because Big Bird’s dead.

Back to the mundane life of O’Brien’s mine…

Sha, Lauren and I reached Club Momo around 2245hrs so that we could beat the cover charge. We joined Dear and gang at the Live Band section and was entertained by the Filipino-looking band. They could be Malay..i don’t know. They all looked alike. An hour later, we proceeded to the dance floor…oooh..the podium, baby!

Sha looked like this whenever she attempted to dance to some gay tunes.

It was crazy. The place was huge and it was still packed to the core with..damn..different kinds of the human race. The music was all right; a mixture with no blaring cheesy Euro techno (except for Eiffel 65’s bloody One More Time). I think the highlight was definitely Madonna’s Hung Up. I swear we could have been banned from Momo due to our 70s synchronised disco dancing. However, Maddie would have been so proud of us.

Time goes by so slowly…Time goes by so slowly…Time goes by so..oh piss off.

At around 3ish, we dragged our sorry asses out, limping to the nearest exit. We could have gone all night if Sha and I didn’t have work on Sunday. Got home and finally slept at 0645hrs (!!) and woke up at 1030hrs. By 1330hrs, I was already at Hotel InterContinental @ Bugis, covering the Barbie Party.

Imagine a ballroom filled with 200 kids and no parents. Most of them were girls (duh!), spotting different Barbie fashion. The guys (yeah there were a few sad ones) didn’t dress up as Ken though (bitch!).

There were Getai Barbie, Rastafari Barbie (a girl with dreadlocks!), Campy aka Kylie Minogue Barbie, Slutty Barbie, Nerdy Barbie, Leukaemia Barbie, Free-spirited aka Hippie Barbie, Sun-burnt Barbie, Bollywood Barbie, Bride-of-Chucky Barbie, Tai-tai Barbie, Nightclub Hostess Barbie and a gazillion other “Milan-lan” high fashion.

Ruth and I were made the judges for the karaoke and Barbie pageant. I swear if I hear those Barbie songs again, I am going to cut off my ears. And oh, I have to tell you…kids, girls especially, like to suck cocks up to the judges.

It all ended at 1830hrs. What a freaking nightmare. I mean, I love Barbie (I really do. I love her!) but a Barbie Party is a definite hell.

Wanna know what’s uber hell?

A Barbie Party, with screaming kids + with loud techno music playing at the background and interspersed with remixed dance versions of Michael Learns To Rock greatest hits collection. I rather smuggle drugs to Australia. What? I still don’t die???

Touché.

Upgraded my mobile plan after that and got meself a yucky-poo phone. See 1st picture. After that, I sat at the premises of the new library, trying to figure out the phone and to take pictures of the tiled sidewalk. Then I took a slow walk to Apollo Centre for a last minute karaoke session with Nani and Ismail at 2000hrs.

Now, I have wobbly knees from clubbing, a transvestite-y voice from the karaoke scream fest (oh it was terribly loud!!) and punched-out eyes from lack of sleep (slept at 0500hrs this morning…fiddling with the phone and trying to like it).

And God, it’s only just Monday.

Weewee: Push on, it's only Monday!!! Enjoy the rest of the week at work...
Me Me: Urgh...your enthusiasm kills me.
Weewee: =P If there are no enthusiasm, how do I survive till Friday?
Me Me: Friday is lightyears away...

Oh well.
When lightyears come, I’ll be at Sabah gawking at Mount Kinabalu already.

Get me a hip phone can?

I wanted so much to get the Motorola Pink Razr but man...the potential Turn-off Of The Year has gotten it and it is no longer desirable.Hah! Because I have no back-up phone (rather, money), I just surrendered to my loser-ish path and got the $0 phone instead...a cavemanly, antique-looking Nokia 6610i.

Was so depressed with it...i almost exchanged it with the father's sony ericsson's 300i. In fact, I had already placed my SIM card in it when my "new" Nokia said to me...

"How dare you?"

And so, at 0430hrs, i switched back to the 6610i, cursing and swearing and regretting taking a blue-coloured model. Should have taken the "sophisticated" grey/silver. Dammit.

Oh well...for consolation, this antique-looking paperweight has a camera (not very good but can still use it to catch lovebirds making out in the park) and a radio (handy when the MP3 runs out of battery), All I need now are just funky casings. Maybe I can get them at Sabah.

Argh!

Who am I kidding?????
My new handphone is god damn fucking ugly!

I dont need to sell my soul just because I wet my bed

The NPCC people are meeting up tomorrow. Wanyi "accidentally" asked if I'm coming or not. As always, i dont know what's going on. But it's okay. i've been so out of touch with that group and honestly, I dont really give a damn whether they invite me or not. Sometimes, i feel these guys are as good as gone.

Why?

Our lives seem to go all over the place. I dont know...we have different paths to lead. I think it all started from me not able to join them for activities due to some difficulties or deficiencies. As their social circle grew wider, I was slowly left behind.

However

The group pulls me back occasionally. But sometimes it's too late. Their social group has gotten too big for comfort and many are strangers to me. We dont have so many things in common and it makes interacting so hard. Being the oldest in the group sometimes doesnt help either.

Maybe deep down, there's a stupid selfish bitterness. I was initially the only girl and i took pains in organising gatherings last time. I had to plan all their stupid birthdays and had to buy the presents because the guys were just...clueless. But nothing's done back to me. No send-offs when i went to study, no cards, no phonecalls, no emails, no birthday celebration..no nothing. i love being with them but that doesnt make me a guy.

The flow of traffic in and out of the social irks me sometimes with infatuated girls coming and going out the group. Sometimes, I sense their resentment/jealousy of me being so close with you guys. And sometimes, it's the other way round. Yes, a girl can only be that possessive.

I remember. They gave me a present this year...a yoga mat for my birthday. After knowing them for 10 years, it's the first time they gave me a birthday present. The card was a bit touching because in it, Fifi, Din and Kiong acknowledged that it was badly dued. I was very very touched.

Anyway last week at Phuture, Weewee's boyfriend (WBF) stumped me.

WBF: Why never ask you guy friends to come?
Me: Err...err..guy friends ah  [Head was saying: Man..what can i say???]
WBF: Next time bring mah..
Me: Er..err..guy friends..
WBF: You dont have guy friends?
Me: Err..I have. Not many.
WBF: Then why never ask them to come?
Me: Err..they are not the clubbing kind...

It wasnt totally true. But oh well. Phuture's not a place to have a proper and honeset conversation, can?

Oh by the way, I wet the bed this morning. I was drinking Milo on my bed last night and I fell asleep with the plastic still in my hand. I woke up all malty and brown.

Haha.

Have a good weekend, people.

Things Brain Love

..am eating my longan guillingao. heaven in a can...

What i like about the start of each new book series are the understanding (yes i actually want to know what i am producing) of the manuscripts and the sourcing of relevant pictures.

I am suppose to source for pictures of the sandbag shelters, created by Aga Khan. That led to me reading about the Shiites...which in turn led me to the Sunni pages.

Have I gotten the pictures?

Not really.

Heh.

Anyway, I asked CY this last night.

Me: Do I speak like a man?
CY: Yup. It's because you watch too much soccer.

Hmm..ok. I must watch a lot of Barbie cartoon then. She's the ultimate woman to me, you see. Man....it's my language. I have to polish..no..tone down my colourful vocabulary.

BUT I AM STILL ALL WOMAN, OKAY!

Not enough protest songs, kid!

The sister loves my DP jacket. Dammit. She has chosen for herself a $70 birthday present. And she wants the same colour. Walao!Oh boy. It DEFINITELY has to be a belated one. The sister is turning 17 by the way. Next year, I can bring her to Zouk. Woohoo! Ting and Rae, next year you can bring your brothers to Zouk also. Hahahahah!

Sheesh
Kids grow up so fast.
Here I am
Still a Toys “R” Us kid.
Still can sing the anthem.

“I don't wanna grow up
I'm a Toys "R" Us kid
They've got a million toys at Toys "R" Us
That I can play with

From bikes to trains to video games
It's the biggest toy store there is (gee whiz!)
I don't wanna grow up, because if I did
I wouldn't be a Toys "R" Us kid
Oh me!
Oh no!
Oh boy!
I wanna be a Toys “R” Us kid”

Sheesh!

admire you for you're brains! I must admit
they're quite good! You use knives and ninja

Oh well. Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go…everywhere.

Yesterday, after a depressing afternoon, I went for a little after-work dinner soiree with Dear and CY. We ended up at Plaza Singapura and had dinner at MOS Burger despite much debating about trans fat (which I am now very much aware of!). Took a stroll in Spotlight and played with the feather boa..hahaha. I bought shoes at DMK and we all ended our trip at Carrefour. We wanted to stock up our office “larder” so that we can have our sit-in protest lunch. This is a triggered effect from yesterday’s office fiasco. Since punching/abusing the management is a definite no-go, a sit-in lunch protest is a good start.

I just don’t know how long I can keep up with it though. Damn.

Liah leaves for Bangkok today. I could have gone with her but ..but..oh well, it’s complicated. Never mind. I am heading to Sabah next Friday anyway. I am kind of excited about it. I’ll get to see Mount K, even though I wont be climbing it.

Mount Kinabalu

I’ll be heading to an “exclusive” island and pretend that I am John Locke Hurley the spunky Kate from LOST.

We’re heading to Pulau Tiga.

Mentioning that show LOST…I have read until Episode 8 of the new season and get this...

!SPOILERS ALERT!

..Shannon and Sayid are going to fuck in a tent on the beach (that’s so mat-and-minah!!) and one of then is going to die.No, not because of the fuck.

Uh ok. Shannon’s going to die.
Tough. I was beginning to like her in Season 2.

Man.

Alright. Got to prepare for my protest soon. Maybe next week, I can start holding picket signs or banners.

Step 1: Peaceful, sit-in protest

Step 2: Holding picket signs … we’re getting there.

Step 3: When deprived, get violent.

(Ed's Note: I am sorry. I cant help it if I’ve got the Tiananmen spirit in me. )

Life is hard
And so am I
You'd better give me something
So I don't die
Novocaine for the soul
Before I sputter out
Before I sputter out

Life is white
And I am black
Jesus and his lawyer
Are coming back
Oh my darling
Will you be here
Before I sputter out
Before I sputter out
Before I sputter out

Guess who's living here

With the great undead
This paint by numbers life
is fucking with my head

Once again

Life is good
And I feel great
Cuz mother says I was
A great mistake
Novocaine for the soul
You'd better give me something to fill the hole
Before I sputter out
Before I sputter out
Before I sputter out
Before I sputter out

If I hadn't seen such riches I could live with being poor

Ooh. Forgot about the movie.

I caught PRIME with nani and lauren last night. But i am too pissed (yeah, still!) to comment about it. It's a bag of romantic cliches actually. But, it still gives you the fuzzies at certain points.

Uma has beever been HOT to me.

I know my boss hates me.

Roy drew a picture of Uncle Bert kena hentam-ed by Kelen (or is that Ruth?) Maybe i should get him to draw me kena hentam-ed by The Mafia, also.

I had some business to settle so I went MOE and came at noon. Dear and Andre picked me up at the bus stop at around 1300hrs and we went to Old Airport Road for lunch. I had chicken nasi briyani (the only halal food available, can you believe it!) which was cheap. I only ate ½ though… I am not a briyani person. I had a sugar cane drink and shared rojak with the rest. Then Dear introduced me to the Cantonese dessert – glutinous balls (with red bean or peanuts) in red bean paste. The balls are yummy (oh stop it!) but the paste had a bitter after taste of orange peel…I didn’t quite like it though. Oh well.

Anyway…

Post lunch was kind of traumatic and pissifying. I learnt of some ultra vicious gossips and I heard my name’s mentioned by The Mafia. Yes..it’s all hearsay. But if it’s coming from higher management, isnt it like..crunch time? Anyway, it involved rumour which was not true.

And I am angry.
No.
I am seething with rage.
I am engulfed in the flames of wrath.
I am so mad I can break out in fiery tears.
Fuck you, work.

What?
Fuck off.
Don’t bother me.
All of you.
Go.
Shoo.
Chase your deadline.
Get those tenders.
Mind your own fucking business.

i. really. cannot. stand. the. fucked-up. office. politics. anymore.
don’t. anyone. get. It?

I sing myself to sleep
A song from the darkest hour
Secrets I can't keep
In sight of the day
Swing from high to deep
Extremes of sweet and sour
Hope that God exists
I hope, I pray
Drawn by the undertow
My life is out of control
I believe this wave will bear my weight
So let it flow

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Now I'm relieved to hear
That you've been to some far out places
It's hard to carry on
When you feel all alone

Now I've swung back down again
It's worse than it was before
If I hadn't seen such riches
I could live with being poor

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Those who feel the breath of sadness
Sit down next to me
Those who find they're touched by madness
Sit down next to me
Those who find themselves ridiculous
Sit down next to me

In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate
Down
Down
- Sit Down, James (1991)

P/S: Urgh…when I was in 11, I thought they were chanting “Poseidon! Poseidon! Poseidon!” in the chorus. Poseidon is the sea god, by the way. Yeah…and the song is a sailor’s anthem, right?
