I know my boss hates me.

Roy drew a picture of Uncle Bert kena hentam-ed by Kelen (or is that Ruth?) Maybe i should get him to draw me kena hentam-ed by The Mafia, also.

I had some business to settle so I went MOE and came at noon. Dear and Andre picked me up at the bus stop at around 1300hrs and we went to Old Airport Road for lunch. I had chicken nasi briyani (the only halal food available, can you believe it!) which was cheap. I only ate ½ though… I am not a briyani person. I had a sugar cane drink and shared rojak with the rest. Then Dear introduced me to the Cantonese dessert – glutinous balls (with red bean or peanuts) in red bean paste. The balls are yummy (oh stop it!) but the paste had a bitter after taste of orange peel…I didn’t quite like it though. Oh well.

Anyway…

Post lunch was kind of traumatic and pissifying. I learnt of some ultra vicious gossips and I heard my name’s mentioned by The Mafia. Yes..it’s all hearsay. But if it’s coming from higher management, isnt it like..crunch time? Anyway, it involved rumour which was not true.

And I am angry.
No.
I am seething with rage.
I am engulfed in the flames of wrath.
I am so mad I can break out in fiery tears.
Fuck you, work.

What?
Fuck off.
Don’t bother me.
All of you.
Go.
Shoo.
Chase your deadline.
Get those tenders.
Mind your own fucking business.

i. really. cannot. stand. the. fucked-up. office. politics. anymore.
don’t. anyone. get. It?

I sing myself to sleep
A song from the darkest hour
Secrets I can't keep
In sight of the day
Swing from high to deep
Extremes of sweet and sour
Hope that God exists
I hope, I pray
Drawn by the undertow
My life is out of control
I believe this wave will bear my weight
So let it flow

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Now I'm relieved to hear
That you've been to some far out places
It's hard to carry on
When you feel all alone

Now I've swung back down again
It's worse than it was before
If I hadn't seen such riches
I could live with being poor

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Those who feel the breath of sadness
Sit down next to me
Those who find they're touched by madness
Sit down next to me
Those who find themselves ridiculous
Sit down next to me

In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate
Down
Down
- Sit Down, James (1991)

P/S: Urgh…when I was in 11, I thought they were chanting “Poseidon! Poseidon! Poseidon!” in the chorus. Poseidon is the sea god, by the way. Yeah…and the song is a sailor’s anthem, right?
