Oh well.
Went to town to meet Meiling after that cause she had movie passes to catch a show.

KNOCKED UP was a lethal combo of toilet humour, witty lines and the beauty of Katherine Heigl (Dr Izzy Stevens, anyone?). Some tout this as the best romantic-comedy so far this year while some slam it straight to the gutter. Well..it’s 60-40 to the former for me.

Bouncer: You old, she pregnant. Can't have a bunch of old pregnant bitches running around. That's crazy, I'm only allowed to let in five percent black people. He said that, that means if there's 25 people here I get to let in one and a quarter black people. So I gotta hope there's a midget in the crowd.

Ben Stone: Do you want to do it doggie style?
Alison Scott: You're not going to fuck me like a dog.
Ben Stone: It's doggie style. It's just the style. We don't have to go outside or anything.

KNOCKED UP has many “personal” jokes and well, this show is not for anybody. Definitely not for someone who is not attuned to Hollywood MTV scene. The repartee between characters are fast and sometimes they tend to mumble so that’s quite hard to catch. But well, those who can read the Chinese subtitles will have no problem. It’s just that i think the jokes sound different as they are lost in translation.
Anyway we see a lot of Katherine Heigl’s breasts and err...tummy. But she’s pretty so there’s not much harm there. I like the part where Pete (Paul Rudd) and Ben (Seth Rogen) go to Las Vegas and have magic mushrooms while watching Cirque Du Soleil. To me, that scene is hilarious. But...dont think the rest catch it. Think Meiling doesn’t get it too. Well...I am a sucker for bawdy humour. Any alcohol or drug-induced humour is automatically fun for me.
Anyway I have 2 passes to catch a horror show tomorrow but...my
And now...it’s back to work. Am still editing the NPCC text. Havent started on the assessment book yet and it has been a week. God save me.
A thousand times goodnight, wandering troubadour.
P/S: Another job interview this Friday...at Safra. Am tired.
