Past few days have been crazy shit, running around in uncomfortable shoes shuttling between classes and preparation time. And oh, dodging and fending off people who can drive me up the wall to an early death.
Anyway, last Wednesday was Ella Umbrella's last day. Yes, another one bites the dust. Or, another one leaving the cuckoo's nest...whichever way you want. After class (and after an early dinner), Idaho and I grabbed some cookies from Mrs Fields' and passed them to her. Idaho and I were thinking of getting her flowers but decided not to cause Ella Umbrella wasnt the flower type.
We also felt a bit guilty for not being able to turn up for the farewell lunch.
All the best and we'll see you on the other side.
..
After late class, I met up with Lauren in town and we caught a show. It had been a while for me, man.

I have certainly seen better stupid movies (like Be Kind Rewind, Knocked Up) and well, this one is really not up to par. However, well... HAROLD & KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY is still passable if you are up and about for some gross-out scenes, rude bits and a nothing-better-to-do movie outing.

Vanessa: You remember that time you stole that monkey and put it in Rosenberg's dorm room?
Kumar Patel: Had I known that the monkey had AIDS I never would have done that.
...
Kumar Patel: After all we've been through, I'm not sure we can trust our government anymore.
George W. Bush: Hey, I'm in the government and I don't trust it. Listen, you don't have to trust the government. You just have to love your country.
...
Kumar Patel: [reciting the poem 'The Square Root of 3'] I'm sure that I will always be / A lonely number like root three / The three is all that's good and right, / Why must my three keep out of sight / Beneath the vicious square root sign, / I wish instead I were a nine / For nine could thwart this evil trick, / with just some quick arithmetic / I know I'll never see the sun, as 1.7321 / Such is my reality, a sad irrationality / When hark! What is this I see, / Another square root of a three / As quietly co-waltzing by, / Together now we multiply / To form a number we prefer, / Rejoicing as an integer / We break free from our mortal bonds / With the wave of magic wands / Our square root signs become unglued / Your love for me has been renewed.
...
Kumar Patel: So, you like, smoke weed, then throw people in jail for smoking weed? Thats so hypocritical, dude.
George W. Bush: Do you like to give hand jobs?
Kumar Patel: Uh, no.
George W. Bush: Do you like to get hand jobs?
Kumar Patel: Well, yeah!
George W. Bush: That makes you a fuckin' hypocriticizer too!

So yeah, there were lots of vaginas and stereotype-casting galore. It does bring in the laughs. But then, it's Singapore. We laugh at every little visual thing.
I thought Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay is tad too long. What's the fascination with Neil Patrick Harris anyway? Plot wise, of course it is nonsensical but ah, John Cho and Kal Penn do have a good on-screen chemistry. During a stupid moment in the show, I turned to Lauren and exclaimed:
"Shit, that's what we will do too!"
"Shit, we're Harold and Kumar!"
Of course I took it a bit further and claim that I was Harold Lee and Lauren Lee was Kumar Patel. Why? Because she's the hornier of us two, that's why hahaha. Oh, and the fact that Indian men like her.
Back to being hornier...yes, being Malay doesnt equate to me being hornier than her, okay.
Haha.
After that, we headed to Acid Bar and just chilled out a bit before crawling into the back of the cab. Went home and managed to catch the Chelsea-Liverpool match. Didnt last the extra time. Oh well.
Woke up (not so bright) early cause...gah, the auntie, uncle and cousin came to visit. Who does that at 0930hrs in the morning? Who can be so merry at that hour? Them, apparently. They brought the house down. Them, together with the mother.

Sadists.
I love them but...good riddance :P
Oh well.
The initial plan was to head to the hairdresser's but somehow, it was thwarted cause I didnt want to spend 6 hours in there today. The sister was with me in town cause I wanted to get her some stuff. She's starting work later (Friday) at Changi Airport so yeah, we went shopping for some stuff. Got her a bag, new set of undies, some make up shit and stuff. Me? Just my usual SJP Lovely perfume and stocking up on my Anna Sui.
Yeah, the tester set for me cause it's waaay cheaper.
2 eyeliners (1 for the sister), powder refill and eye shadow palette
Being a bloody sucker that I was, I was actually aiming for the freebies.
On hindsight, the freebies are nothing actually.
Sucker.
The newest waterproof mascara, primer, eye make-up remover & a toiletry bag.
Did I say "Sucker"?
I meant, "Sucker!!"
Shit. It's almost 0200hrs and I have a morning class. Have yet to prepare for both morning and noon classes. Am in deep shit.
A thousand times goodnight, colourful unicorns.
P/S: Brooke is out. And wow...my Castro is still moving on fine. I know he's vocally weak but...he's a darling. Bite me.
