I was made for loving you

Back.

Monday I went to Santana's concert. Watch this space again for pictures and blurry recordings.

Tuesday, with much difficulty, was back to work again and I met Nani in the evening to catch another show.

JUNO was another great movie. It is not crazy-gripping like No Country For Old Men. Hell, it's another genre but after-taste wise, it is just as good. In fact, it's much better for your inner spirit.

The film is about a 16-year-old Juno who gets knocked up after the only time she has sex with this geeky dude (think Napoleon Dynamite) of a classmate. She decides to keep it after realising the foetus has nails (for shit!) and looks for an adoptive family for her baby. Okay, this plot sounds plain but ..aiyah..it's quite different.

Vanessa Loring: Your parents are probably wondering where you are.
Juno MacGuff: Nah... I mean, I'm already pregnant, so what other kind of shenanigans could I get into?

Leah: Yo Yo Yiggady Yo.
Juno MacGuff: I'm at suicide risk.
Leah: Juno?
Juno MacGuff: No, it's Morgan Freeman. Do you have any bones that need collecting?
Leah: Only the one in my pants...
Juno MacGuff: I'm pregnant.
Leah: What? Honest to blog?
Juno MacGuff: Yeah. Yeah, it's Bleekers.
Leah: It's probably just a food baby. Did you have a big lunch?
Juno MacGuff: No, this is not a food baby all right? I've taken like three pregnancy tests, and I'm forshizz up the spout.
Leah: How did you even generate enough pee for three pregnancy tests? That's amazing...
Juno MacGuff: I don't know, I drank like, ten tons of Sunny D... Anyway dude, I'm telling you I'm pregnant and you're acting shockingly cavalier.
Leah: Is this for real? Like, for real for real?
Juno MacGuff: Unfortunately, yes.
Leah: Oh my GOD. Oh shit! Phuket, Thailand!
Juno MacGuff: There we go. That was kind of the emotion that I was searching for on the first take.

Vanessa Loring: So... How are we going to do this?
Juno MacGuff: What do you mean? Don't I just have the thing? Squeeze it on out and hand it over?
Gerta Rauss: Mark and Vanessa are willing to negotiate an open adoption...
Mac MacGuff: What do you mean?
Juno MacGuff: Wait... No! I mean, can't we just, like, kick this old school? Like, I have the baby, put it in a basket and send it your way, like, Moses and the reeds?
Mark Loring: Technically, that would be kicking it Old Testament.

...

Juno MacGuff: I think I'm, like, in love with you.
Paulie Bleeker: You mean as friends?
Juno MacGuff: No, I mean, like, for real. 'Cause you're, like, the coolest person I've ever met, and you don't even have to try, you know...
Paulie Bleeker: I try really hard, actually.

A bit bitter, but mostly sweet. It's not bleak and it's typical of an indie movie. Non-typical and full of optimism.

Think Juno is the best I have seen this year. All 2 months of the year 2008.

Shit. Tummy ache.

Oh by the way...

My laptop has been attacked by a shitty porn virus. I saw this link telling me that Gene Simmons (of rock band KISS) has made out with a young model and that she is not his long-term partner. I was so freaking disgusted and curious at the same time. Curious enough to click on the link...and voila...

Nabei, chee bye.
Fuck you Gene Simmons.
KISS my ass!
