Thank You For The Venom!

"Teenagers scare the living shit outta me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes
Or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me"

Oh yes they scared the living daylights out of me last evening. But let's rewind to Monday. It was the sister's 19th birthday so...

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, BUSUK SISTER!

And yeah, the brother and I then decided to share fund and we got her the $97 ticket to My Chemical Romance concert. She was to go with me, Weewee and Weewee's friends.

The sister and the tickets

So on Tuesday (yesterday), I went down to Max Pavillion at Expo and met everyone at 1900hrs. It was cold and so I had a jacket with me. Feeling like a rockstar. Silly of me to wear it but I was from work and well...it was a cold day.

We saw a snaking queue and being typical Singaporeans, we joined in.

Camwhored while waiting for the fucking queue to move.

45 minutes later we realised people were queueing for no stupid reason. The doors were already opened waaaaaaay ahead. Realising that, we walked briskly to the front (cannot run, must save energy) and managed to get in. The whole world was queueing outside for no stupid reason and it was already 2000hrs. Sheesh!

The sis and I broke away from Weewee and gang because they wanted to "lepak" at the back first while the two of us were trying to squeeze our fat asses in the crowd. We did get in the middle when the group finally appeared at about 2050hrs.

Gerrard Way is blurred...too many people pushing, lah.

It was utter confusion when they opened with This Is How I Disappear. It was pure madness. The sister jostled her way (very guilty) to the front with me hot on her heels. So yeah...we managed to get to the front. Of course, along the way, we were jabbed, elbowed, trampled, punched, moshed and cursed. Hurts but worth it, baby.

So yeah, we got to the front, at other people's expense of course. It was pure orgasmic. I have been to concerts but this one...well, freaking moshing ground, breeding germ kind of pit, man. It was rough. I really pitied the little kids and the dainty people. It was like goint to battle. The sister became a totally different person. Like a little monster.

But I joined in when they played my favourite.
Went berserk.

"And when we go don't blame us, yeah.
We'll let the fires just bathe us, yeah.
You made us, oh, so famous.
We'll never let you go.
And when you go don't return to me my love"

ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!

Oh oh oh. You MUST watch this. The Black Parade....karaoke.

We'll carry on...we'll carry on...and on and on and on..

I lost the sister 3/4 into the concert. Oh well. Let it be. So I got drifted and moved by the sea of people. Deja vu. Felt like Oasis concert all over again...I was alone and stuff. But it was okay. Jumped and screamed still.

And soon, it was all over.

After the concert.
Hair's all messy.
Totally soaking wet.
In a bad way.

Got some drinks. Too crowded and chaotic to pay so I walked away. Got into a cab and was paranoid that karma may bite so I paid an extra $1 to the cabby.

Home.
Body ached all over.
Am getting old.

But wow!! What a concert! Cheers to all the emo kids who succeed in making me feel old came in complete get-up. For once last night, emo ruled.

P/S: Santana and The Police in February. Incubus and Maroon 5 in March. What? New York?

P/P/S: It's almost 2100hrs. Go home, Ed!
